DYLAN AYALA BIO
Dylan Ayala was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 22, 2000. From a very young age, he discovered his love for the outdoors, combined with extreme sports, such as wrestling and motocross. However, his passion quickly became wake surfing.
He started competing worldwide in 2017 in the Men’s Amateur Surf Division; placing 1st in most events and never missed the podium that year. He went on to take first in the USA and second place in the world in mens Amatuer. Then in year two he took first in the world in the mens semi pro division, earning him a coveted spot on the Mens Pro circuit in 2019. Dylan finished his first season as a mens pro wakesurfer ranked 5th in the world! It’s been said “if you do what you love, you will never have to work a day in your life”; for Dylan his love and job are catching waves!
When Dylan is not wakesurfing himself, his secondary passion is helping others learn the sport he loves so much through his coaching at his business, WakeSurf School. When not on the lake you can find him creating and editing videos, hanging with his friends or somewhere in the outdoors. Dylan also loves traveling the world and he especially enjoys Asia.
Dylan has quickly became one of the most sought after coaches in the world because of his patience, focus on technique and form, the purpose behind the movements he is teaching, not to mention, the smile everyone loves. Dylan has coached in South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, as well as throughout the US. You can find him surfing and coaching almost every day at his home lake, Saguaro Lake in Phoenix AZ. -Live Life Elevated, DA
